A day on the water
Casting off in the morning, the coastline sliding by to starboard — granite, scrub, coves with water in a turquoise you would not believe from photographs. You anchor in a bay, swim, have a late lunch on board: fish, white wine, bread. In the afternoon, wind picks up, and she lies at the bow in the shade of the sail. On the way back the light turns golden, and no one has looked at their phone all day.
