Our models wear high-quality Tracht for the Wiesn — usually from Munich makers such as LODENFREY, Angermaier or Lola Paltinger. No carnival costumes, no discount dirndls, but authentic, well-made dress that feels right even in the Käfer-Schänke. Käfer Wiesn-Schänke (service tent): Munich's most exclusive Wiesn tent. Reservations are essential and often sell out as early as February; the crowd is well-dressed and celebrity-heavy. With an elegant companion, this is the ideal setting. Käfer-Zelt: Larger than the Schänke, but with the same quality standards. Many business Wiesn evenings take place here — a stylish companion fits perfectly. Schützenfestzelt: Quieter, more traditional and slightly more grown-up than the main tents. Ideal when the companion should remain gracefully in the background. Bräurosl, Marstall, Ochsenbraterei: Classic main tents with a lively atmosphere. Reservations through the brewery tables are recommended. We're happy to advise on table selection and know the door staff at the key tents — an advantage for spontaneous evenings without a reservation.

On request, we can organise your whole Oktoberfest day: a room at the Bayerischer Hof, Charles or Mandarin Oriental within easy reach of the Theresienwiese, a reserved table in one of the service tents, limousine transfers to and from the festival grounds, and after-Wiesn drinks somewhere away from the crowds. For returning guests, we also offer multi-day Oktoberfest arrangements — three days in Munich with continuous companionship, a suite, restaurants and, of course, the Wiesn itself. During the Oktoberfest weeks (19 September to 4 October 2026), demand is high — we recommend booking early. Our rates match the regular tariffs shown on our Rates page; there is no festival premium. Travel to the Theresienwiese is included in the rate. If you are planning a six- or eight-hour Wiesn date, we recommend reserving a table in a service tent well in advance — ideally in spring. Oktoberfest 2026 takes place from 19 September to 4 October on the Theresienwiese in Munich. It is the 191st Oktoberfest and lasts 16 days. The official tapping of the first keg takes place on Saturday, 19 September at 12 noon in the Schottenhamel tent. The first Wiesn week is dominated by the opening weekend and the traditional celebrity visits to the exclusive tents. Guests who prefer a quieter, more sociable atmosphere are better off visiting on a weekday. The second weekend is known as the Italian weekend — one of the busiest of the Wiesn. The final weekend is more local and relaxed; the traditional Wiesn-Kehraus with a gun salute at the Bavaria statue closes the festival on 4 October. For companionship where conversation and poise matter most, we recommend a weekday between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. If you want the full spectacle, book a weekend — but do so early, because the best tables are allocated months in advance. Business Wiesn evenings work particularly well from Tuesday to Thursday, when the tents are less crowded and service levels are at their highest.

A Saturday evening in the Schottenhamel or Hofbräu-Festzelt is loud, crowded and an experience in itself. But for a first date in a relaxed atmosphere, a morning or early-afternoon slot is much better. The tents only fill up in the afternoon, the staff have more time, the mood is still leisurely, and it is easier to find a quiet corner for conversation. The festival grounds open Monday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to midnight, Saturday from 9 a.m. to midnight and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. The 3rd of October is treated like a Sunday. Beer service and music in the large tents end at 10:30 p.m.; in smaller tents they end at 11 p.m. The Käfer Wiesn-Schänke and Kufflers Weinzelt may serve until 12:30 a.m. So if you want a quiet, elegant Wiesn evening, book a weekday and use the early hours. If you want to party, come at the weekend — but with a reservation. For a first meeting we also recommend arranging a drink outside the tent, for example in a nearby hotel bar, before heading to the Wiesn together.

The Oide Wiesn is the historic part of Oktoberfest in the southern part of the Theresienwiese and runs at the same time. It is smaller, more traditional and considerably calmer than the main tents. Historic rides turn to Bavarian music, and the crowd is more mixed. The atmosphere feels more like a historic folk festival than the large event on the main meadow. Admission costs €4 for visitors aged 15 and over; children and young people up to 14 enter free. After 9 p.m. admission is free for everyone. Visitors with a disability of at least 50 % also enter free. Rides cost €1.50 each. The festival tents are open daily from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.; beer service and music end at 10:30 p.m. The Oide Wiesn is especially suitable for guests who want to experience Oktoberfest but avoid the crush of the main tents. With a stylish companion it becomes a relaxed, almost nostalgic evening. It is also a good choice for a first date, because conversation comes more easily here and the volume does not make talking difficult.

The cost of a Wiesn day is made up of several items that fall outside our companionship fee. In 2025, a Maß of beer cost between €14.50 and €15.80 depending on the tent. Current prices for 2026 will be published by the city shortly before the festival begins. Half a roast chicken usually costs between €14 and €18, with side dishes and snacks in the low single digits. Table reservations in the popular tents require a minimum consumption, which can run into several hundred euros depending on the tent and time of day. Add taxi or limousine rides, because the festival grounds are almost impossible to reach by car during the Wiesn. Tips for waiting staff and door staff are customary and should be factored into the budget. Our own rates remain unchanged during Oktoberfest. When the tents close, the evening doesn't have to end. The Käfer Wiesn-Schänke stays open longer than most other tents and offers a more elegant transition into the late evening. Here the seating is more comfortable, the music is quieter and the crowd is more mixed. Afterwards, a drink in one of the hotel bars or exclusive bars in Munich city centre is a natural next step. The Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski, the Mandarin Oriental and the Bayerischer Hof have bars that still provide the right setting after the Wiesn.
