Sunset in Little Venice
Around seven, the waterfront terraces fill up, the houses standing right in the surf. You sit at a table where the spray almost reaches you, and watch the sun disappear behind the windmills. She wears white, her hair still salty from the afternoon. Afterwards, a walk through the alleyways of the Chora, past open doorways and bougainvillea, to a restaurant serving fish, wine and no hurry at all.
